“It’s just a life story, so there’s no climax” — Our Life is Not a Movie or Maybe, by Okkervil River
Something about those words stood out to me while listening to the music and beginning a three month long adventure in South America. I liked the sentiment so much I decided to name this blog after that line. The funny thing is, I realized this while talking to a friend, is that this blog doesn’t come close to telling my life story. I hadn’t seen this friend in a while and she said to me, “I’ve been keeping up with your life by reading your blog.” But we quickly realized she hardly knew anything about what was going on in my life lately.
So this blog affords random glimpses into my life, but comes nowhere near telling the whole story. (To get as close to the whole story as possible, you’ll have to wait until I publish my memoir).
